The Right Wing Cyclist...

Now that the dust has settled following the presidential election, it’s time to get to the matter of puking out another political blog. So why for the love of Mike am I doing this? I think it’s two things. One is that sometimes when you know deep down in your soul that you're right about something, and you feel the uneasiness of being quiet and complacent, you finally throw caution to the wind and let your voice be heard. If you believe in conservative values, the strength of the family, the importance of religious faith whether it be Christianity, Judaism, or otherwise. If you believe there are moral absolutes. And, if you believe in the Constitution of the United States then you understand that these rights and beliefs are under attack. If We The People don't act... who will?

Secondly, and far less important is that I’m a novice cyclist. If you know nothing about the sport of cycling or even care for that matter, then forget about that aspect of my fight and just focus on the political rantings that will fill 80% of this blog. If you are a cyclist of any degree then you’ll probably agree that our sport, much like most schoolteachers, members of academia, Hollywood, and most professional musicians, are or at least claim to be a bunch of liberals. Moreover, like most liberals, they are more concerned about the cultivating the look and aura of liberalism then actually following through save the easy stuff like recycling and foregoing deodorant. You know the cyclist by their obsessive fussiness over being “bike culture”. They obsess over if their messenger bag strap is the right length and if they have loud enough cycling socks with their Teva sandals. It’s imperative that the liberal cyclist sport clever facial hair, and is always seen carrying a latte from the local coffee house while listening to Modest Mouse on their iPod. The “culture” or the “scene” of cycling is very ostentatious much like liberalism. It used to be that bike “culture” meant a culture of love for the purity of cycling and the camaraderie that came with it. To be able to express yourself as you wish and share your love for things two-wheeled and self propelled. Now it’s filled with pretentious, fake, superficial narcissistic and shallow liberals who are as concerned with shoving their political leanings on you as they are about just riding their freakin bikes. Hey, good for them if they choose to “go green” and ride their bikes to work, to the grocery, and to church… whoops, I forgot they don’t go to church unless they are running for office. I applaud that. I’m not going betray my character or morality just to be part of this hypocrisy… no matter how cool it thinks it is. To the professional bike messengers, the hard-core riders, and all those that truly ride for the love and don't give a crap what anyone thinks... cheers to you my friends... keep the faith!

I believe most “liberals” are not educated enough to subscribe wholeheartedly to the ideology of liberalism. It’s all a display. It feels good. It allows them to be a pompous windbag at cocktail parties and affords them the ability to be part of the new postmodern hippie counter-culture. It’s all a dog and pony show. There are those liberals who if were to dig way down in their heart of hearts when no one is listening would tell you they don’t really subscribe to most of the far-left ideology they espouse to. These liberals are harmless and only pose a threat in the voting booths and to impressionable school kids. You can't argue with them either. Once you begin to cite facts and make a point, they react my putting their fingers in their ears and going "nananananananaaananannnaaa". And if that doesn't work they throw food at you. The real threat is the liberal nut jobs that truly, deeply, passionately believe the entire liberal doctrine. These are the ones you need to be afraid of. They often carry real power and follow though with action… and the result could be damaging on many levels. These are the William Ayres, Nancy Pelosi, Barak Obama types to name a few. They and their cronies are a real threat to democracy. They don’t care if they impress you, they just hope they can forward their agenda and what’s scary is that they have the mainstream media and press on their side. If it weren’t for conservative talk radio and the internet, the conservatives would be doomed.

Enter Barak Hussein Obama. The man who launched his senate campaign in the living room of a Marxist Terrorist. His list of anti-American associates is deep, and his thirst for power is unquenching. It’s amazing what an average Joe-Blow like me was able to learn and uncover about your new President over the course of the recent campaign. All one need to do is sift through the hours upon hours of YouTube videos and interviews Mr. Obama has given along with page after page of watchdog websites who daily release more dirt on this man then could fill a football stadium! Yet the masses ignore it. His rock-star/messiah status has made him a Teflon liberal that can seemingly deflect any negatives that are thrown his way. The media can successfully slam Sarah Palin over her who paid for her wardrobe but no one cares that Barak Obama associates with terrorists, racists, Marxists, Socialists, and the screwiest of the far-left whackos. No one cares that he freely admits to wanting to “spread the wealth” as President. No one cares about his unbelievable voting record on killing the unborn and partial birth abortion. This information alone made me fall out of my chair. He is now our President! Has that really sunk in yet? I still have a nervous sickness in my stomach four days after the election. We have decided that change is good enough. It does not need to be defined. It needs no parameters. We are simply happy with change regardless of the consequences. This should be interesting. And, if you feel as I do… then please understand that grass roots campaigns can really work. If you want to take back our Country then talk about it. Email about it. Text about it. Blog about it. Don’t just sit there. We can all make a difference. Let’s begin now. Thanks for visiting my blog and reading my ranting. Please come back and let me know if you have a link that we could trade. Every time a link is traded, we increase our numbers and our strength. With your help, we can be a “right” leaning nation again. Get tough and don’t ever back down, and never give up on your ideals. They are worth fighting for. Thanks… I’m going for a bike ride.

Till next time…
